December 25, 2024

OMJ is taking a holiday season break from the usual format for this last episode of 2024 and the next week. You’ll hear some great music from across the spectrum of artists played on the show. This show’s a real mix of styles, flavor and emotion. A handful of brand new releases are included: Northern Ireland drummer Stephen Davis has an insanely good band with him on his new “The Gleaming World”, while Aussie trombonist Shannon Barnett joins a very good student ensemble from the jazz program at Monash University in Melbourne. Spanish keyboardist Marina Albero lives in Seattle now and has explored jazz in the USA. Her stop in New Orleans made an impression on the track you’ll hear. Hope you enjoy the music. Have a safe and happy holiday season.  Big thanks to all who listened to One Man’s Jazz in 2024!!!!!!
