Faced with the somewhat ominous task of doing the last show of of 2020 for Taint Radio, I thought I’d change things up a bit. You will hear the usual new releases (pianist Kari Ikonen from Finland, Sweden’s multi-reedist Alberto Pinton and trio, and American pianist Matt Piet), but also some tunes and intros from other program hosts on Taint Radio (I asked them to pick a song that represents their feelings about the year past or maybe a favourite track), and music for dancing. Yes, dancing, and the program’s extended by two hours as well.. Not the usual fare on One Man’s Jazz, but hey, you’re stuck at home (you should be!!!) and I think there’s lots of music here that will be far better than watching some stale broadcasts on television and get you up and jumpin’ (and no mask required)!
