There are the exalted ones, Miles Davis and Wayne Shorter, both with un-released music about to hit the shelves; the long-time dues-paying “vets” like Italians Tiziano Tononi and Daniele Cavallante & Nexus, the ensemble they’ve been leading for over 40 years and pianists Russ Lossing and Tonino Miano; the rising stars like saxophonists Anna Webber & her Simple Trio and Isaiah Collier; and the next generation – Swiss pianist Marie Kruttli, Norwegian saxophonist Lauritz Skeidsvoll and the Finnish duo, Solar Unity Ensemble.
